Art and culture are no privileges of big cities – on the contrary: Radstadt with its nearly 5,000 inhabitants presents itself for 30 years with a program of concerts of the highest quality. The festival of Early Music & New Sounds has been an insider tip for years amongst music lovers. For the 30 year anniversary we are presenting high profile musicians with a carefully selected program. Familiar faces and exciting new discoveries bring life to the „old town in the mountains“. The musical highlights include the Minetti Quartet with clarinettist Matthias Schorn, the young trio Alba, the duo “Die Strottern” from Vienna, the premiere of „the stone, the wind, the water, the earth“ for orchestra by Hannes Raffaseder, as well as the world premiere of „Fugitive Pieces“ Trio for Alba by Helmut Jasbar, the Vocal Ensemble Company of Music under the direction of Johannes Hiemetsberger.
